Scars, tattoos and stretch marks are permanent stories we carry with us, whether long or short, funny or serious, accidental or self inflicted, to be hidden in shame or worn proudly as battle scars of times passed.

Through this project I photographed people and their relationship to their scars, tattoos and stretch marks. I interviewed each person while photographing them to hear the story behind their scars, tattoos, and stretch marks. This proved to be a very personal project for many people, including the audience, and the concept of this project was well received.
